Members of the flight deck crew aboard amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) observe as an AV-8B Harrier assigned to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s (MEU) Air Combat Element lands on the flight deck. Marines and equipment from the 13th MEU returned to Bonhomme Richard, following a 3.5-month tour providing assault support, close-air support, heavy lift capabilities, as well as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance for the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Forward in the Al Anbar Province, Iraq.
