Singapore - European giant EADS plans to halt the domination of its US rival Boeing's military aircraft in Asia, chief executive officer Tom Enders said on Monday. 'We're going to change that,' Enders said.
Successful products such as the C-212 and CN-235 have a significant presence in Asia, Enders told media ahead of Asian Aerospace 2006 in Singapore, the world's third largest aviation show.
He cited Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei and South Korea as having either or both of the aircraft.
'The transport aircraft family shall be completed with the addition of the new A-400M heavy transport, to be assembled at EADS' CASA facilities in Spain and jointly marketed in Asia,' EADS said.
