General Dynamics Awarded $48 Million Contract for F-22 Raptor Components

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded a $48 million multi-year contract by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company to produce components of the F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft. The multi-year contract includes an initial release of $12 million in funding for production. Deliveries will begin in October 2007.Production and program management will be performed at General Dynamics’ Advanced Materials facility in Marion, Va. General Dynamics also produces the 20mm ammunition handling feed system for the F-22 at its Saco, Maine, facility.
