Stefan Zoller, chief executive of EADS' Defence & Security division, has acknowledged EADS will not build another Barracuda Demonstrator, after the original one crashed of the coast of Spain, last year.

"You won't see any further development of Barracuda," Zoller said during an interview with Reuters. He added that EADS was instead moving forward with its advanced UAV program.

He said a risk reduction phase contract for the advanced UAV for Germany, Spain and France was expected soon from Germany's defence procurement organisation.
