RAF Eurofighter damaged during wheels-up landing incident
A 69 million Pound ($139 million) Royal Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon was damaged during a wheels-up landing at the U.S. China Lake Naval Weapons Air Station in California. According to reports the pilot simply forgot to retract the undercarriage.

A spokesman for the U.K. Ministry of Defence said: "The damage to the aircraft is still to be fully assessed and as a Board of Inquiry has been convened it would not be appropriate to comment further until the investigation is complete."

The incident happened around the 25th of April, when it was doing "routine trials work dropping laser-guided bombs". The pilot did not eject the aircraft and was not injured.
