Predator Hellfire Strike, JULY 2007

July 2007, This happened as I was coming into work. Drove up to the Hardened Air Shelter (HAS) and got the "incoming, incoming, incoming," warning right when I was getting out of the vehicle. I ran inside as fast as I could and watched my fellow airman take the shot. There was nothing left but the trunk, and locals appeared as if out of the ground and threw the mortar tube in the river. They also got a construction team to take the trunk away. After clearing up the scene our boys arrived on station, fished out the mortar tube (which we got as a trophy), then got quarantined because the water is that bad.
