*Please no AMERICA F**K YEAH!!" type jack-assery in the comments. Also, none of whatever the pro-Soviet/Russian equivalent is. Thanks!*

The KA-50 Black Shark, called the "Hokum" in NATO parlance (Chernaya Akula in Russian, or "Черная акула"), is a very innovative helicopter. It uses twin co-axial main rotors, granting it great agility and meaning that there is no need for a complicated, vulnerable tail-rotor linkage. The Black Shark can make turns without rolling at any speed, and is a very stable aircraft. It can fly in any direction at equal speed, as is shown in the video.

The Black Shark can carry a wide range of weapons, including bombs, unguided rockets, guided missiles and even air-to-air missiles. It uses a 30mm side-mounted cannon which holds 460 rounds, and can uses laser-guided Vikhr anti-armour missiles, which claim to be able to defeat up to 90cm of armour, including reactive and compound armour.

Interestingly, the Black Shark also has an ejector seat. The blades are blown clear of the aircraft and the pilot's Zvesda ejection seat triggers to throw him/her to safety.
